Homemade Jams

Jam is my favourite spread on toast. Although sometimes my tastebuds tackle the tough decision of crunchy peanut butter or jam, it is usually the jam that wins the battle. I was once out of jam so i experimented with sliced strawberries and a drizzle of sugar on my toast, it was very delicous but the homemade jams are a definate contender. Especially with those outrageously large chunks of fruit in even larger jars.

Prada Backpack

A Prada backpack. All the kiddies in the schoolyard would be uber jelous of this lovely backpack. It is also the perfect travel accessory; your hands are free whilst you galavant across country-sides, take photographs, sip coffee and make phone calls.

Polaroid SX70 Original

There is a single holgaroid camera for sale whilst every other model is out of stock. It is an outrage. Nevertheless I remain a huge fan of www.the-impossible-project.com as they show mutlitple pictures of the models from different angles, as well as samples of photos that have been taken with each camera. I am aching for this SX70 Original to come back in stock so i can get my manicured hands on it.

They are very lovely to be keeping the polaroid camera alive!

Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo in London

Olivia Palermo in London

Olivia Palermo in New York

The New York socialite is stunningly savvy in outfits attempting to accompany her skeletal frame. She is heavily in tune with what works in the fashion realm and is yet to be caught on a bad day. I love to hate her.

Chocolate creations.

Food photography. By Marina Ekroos. This aerial view depicts the process of creating chocolate. She has considered the colours, textures and sizes. It leads you to a new angle each time you gaze into the photo.

Quote.

From this moment onward you can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed.

Uscari.

Uscari is peeping its pieces in stores all over Australia. I pre-ordered this dress and am awaiting its arrival! This is the problem with online shopping, you have an instant euphoria after clicking confirm on the purchase page, yet after waiting weeks you begin to loose your love of the purchase. I refuse to let the love die for this dress.

Alexa Chung.

Only Alexa Chung can pull off a completely oversized and ill fitting dress. Stockholm Street Style captured her sultry smirk during Paris Fashion Week.

Beige Boots

These beige boots are far from boring. Worn half up, half down, half left, half right. They have a tattered look that differs from the ever so "cool" Doc Martin boot, happily worn by every second passer by on the street this past winter.

Jumper

The autumn weather brings such a chill, it seems genius to accompany a beautiful skirt with a woolley jumper. The light shaded grey skirt contrasts with the deep navy jumper, causing this outfit to jump at you. The extra long sleeves look cosy as well as elongating the jumper and creating a flattering silhouette. This is my favourite image from Tommy Ton's Paris Fashion Week shots, even though it is adjacent to some very outrageous fashion statements.

Hidey-hole.

This picture is the reason I want to build my own home 'when I grow up'. After watching many renovation reality tv shows, I have previously feared designing my dream home, but this fear has been immediately erased by this luminous home. The cubby hole bed, led to by a ladder, is a child-like hidey-hole. Then there are the white, wooden floors that capture the light and send the eye directly to the bookshelves stacked with a bounty of books. It is crammed with an artistic flare, yet seemingly simple design elements.

Magnificent manicure.

Gold nails! Where is the overwhelming clash between her golden nails and the abundance of gold jewellery she is wearing? They seem to compliment each other making an accessorised statement against her delightful, draping creme top. It all just works.

Not so subtle suede shoes.

These shoes were captured by Tommy Ton at Milan Fashion Week. The soft suede is cleverly complimented by the tourquoise and beige knotted sash. These are an outfit in themselves.

Jil Sander.

These pieces cannot be overlooked. A stunning show from Jil Sander's Spring/Summer 2011 collection at Milan Fashion Week has left me buzzing. The collection flows beautifully with simple blocks of pastel colours draping the body. Designer Raf Simons teamed basic tee shirts with over-the-top skirts that scream gigantic minimalism.

Angus and Julia Stone.

A delicate hum of drums penetrated the air, accompanied by a soft strum of a guitar, mingled with mesmorising voices from the brother and sister duo. The dream-like sounds of Angus and Julia Stone had the crowd mesmorised at last Thursday nights Brisbane show. I have their albums playing continuously!

Lilac Coat.

London Fashion Week is being splattered throughout the blogosphere as the Spring/Summer 2011 collections are unveiled. My eyes have been scouring the pages of show after show and this coat is deffinately winning me over.

Loose but structured.

This image was captured by The Sartorialist and posted on Tuesday. I'm captivated by the simplicity of this look through the plain, black, loosely fitted yet structured dress. The extravagant knee-high boots have narrowly avoided the label of hooker heels, instead they are perfectly personalising this look.

Return of the cleverly disheveled bun.

I have become besotted by the return of the disheveled bun. Grade 10 girls roam the streets with their thrown together hair that looks like they awoke only moments ago. I am over the moon it is joining the ranks of the middle part and sleek bun in do's you can get away with anywhere. This do was styled by Renya Xydis at Sass and Bide's 2010 Spring Collection for London Fashion Week. It surpasses the previous twirl and your done bun, with braids that spill from the back to the front and cleverly intermingle with the twisted bun on top. This do may require an extra hour and possibly an extra hand but on lazy, hazy day with a slow mid-morning it should be the chosen do to do.

Dazzling shorts.

Now that the air is warmer and flowers are blooming it is most appropriate to start compiling a list of must have shorts. These are from Fleur Wood's 2010 Spring Collection and I want!

Mimco.

I feel it is appropriate to spend a moment on a very recent addition to my walk-in robe. I have adored this Mimco bag for several consecutive months but as I am saving for future travelling and adventure, I have stopped myself from proceeding with this purchase. This all changed on Saturday when my dashing boyfriend made a surprise purchase. Since then it has not left my side and I have not stopped smiling as I parade the streets flashing passers-by with its beauty.
And it begins...
